Marketing Specialist / Assistant Trade Manager – Macau
What’s the role?
To support the business growth in Macau, this role will integrate the knowledge of Hilti business and understand the market landscape of Macau including competition locally and work closely with Macau sales & engineering team and marketing team to define the marketing strategy to maximize the return of the business and drive execution across teams.
What does the role involve?
- Formulate marketing strategy to drive business growth in Macau, e.g. by identifying gaps in Hilti product/service/software offerings for key applications and work with product leadership team to create the trade plan and define the most attractive opportunities for Macau market.
- In-depth understanding of the market namely how it is structured, what are the different sub-segments, direct and indirect competitors, market influencers, market trends which create future opportunities and threats for Hilti.
- Visit the customers regularly to identify their needs and get to know the various stakeholders to understand their responsibilities, needs and pain points, in order to derive marketing strategy that foster business growth.
- Drive and execute marketing campaigns and events e.g. InnoHour, Trade Wave and build network with local construction associations. Lead and execute new product launch, customers’ acceptance test (CAT) and provide training to sales team.
- As s strong business partner to assess business performance trends and work with sales management team to build business cases to invest based on opportunities or de-invest based on optimization potential in the trade in accordance with trade strategy.

What do you need?
- Degree in marketing, business, engineering or related discipline.
- Above 3 years of working experience in sales and/or marketing in construction/industrial/engineering sectors, experience in MNCs is an advantage. More experience will be considered as Assistant Trade Manager.
- Capable in multi-tasking and successfully manage and drive a complex range of initiatives and tasks in parallel.
- Proven ability to work in a structured way and achieve outstanding results with teamwork.
- Strong influencing skills and highly capable in engaging stakeholders at all levels and functions.
- Excellent communications skills and high proficient in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
