職位要求:

Reporting toManager, the Facilities Engineer with work closely with Facilities Supervisor, other Facilities Engineers, employees, and outside contractors to maintain the facilities and expand its capabilities as necessary.  Lead in planning and maintenance of critical systems supporting utilities, equipment, and inventory relating to facility operation and ongoing maintenance and upkeep.  Provides focused engineering support for the site regarding renovations, facility upgrades, retrofits, modernizations, and repairs. 
Communicates and coordinates construction contractors regarding facility projects and equipment moves/installations. Participates in all safety activities such as training employees and implementing safety procedures. Acts as “core competency” for all facility related matters at site.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Investigate and determine facility requirements relating to equipment relocations, realignment, transfer, and equipment de-installation/installation. Determine the most efficient utilization of available facilities for the operation of systems/equipment. Provide cost estimates and programming data in support of such moves.
• Work with clients/customers, translating user functional requirements into facility requirements.
• Perform in house design support on small projects.
• Support the installation, maintenance, operation and adjustments made to building controls systems, HVAC equipment, i.e. pumps, air handling units, CRAC, chillers systems. Has a thorough knowledge of power systems, generators and UPS’s, DC Retiifier, PDU and LVSB.
• Provide technical and maintenance support on processes and projects and work with maintenance technicians on a day to day basis.
• Develop and review PM’s for site equipment and modify on a periodic basis to ensure proper technical and maintenance content. Initiate and modify preventive maintenance instructions as necessary.
• Provide root cause analysis, corrective actions, and implementation plans for repetitive failures in an area or equipment and participate in long term improvement plans.
• Identify and lead cost reduction efforts by evaluation of utility usage, equipment, spare parts systems, general inventory supply, and equipment components. Perform energy audits and implement energy savings opportunities.
• Act as the Project Manager for certain area / facility and equipment projects.
• Must have the ability to develop effective communication plans, lead work groups, and remove potential barriers in order to achieve improved performance.
• Support negotiations and management of facility maintenance contracts.
• Act as technical guidance for identifying and resolving facilities related operational issues.
• Oversee any repairs to equipment or facility and ensure those repairs are completed on-time and on budget.
• Actively support outside consultants in Design Reviews and Project Reviews.
• Assist in Vendor Audits and Factory Acceptance Tests to determine their quality impact on equipment and facilities projects to assure receipt of High Quality, Reliable and Cost-effective products and services.
• On call 24 hours a day 7 days a week if nesserary.    
• Oversee electrical and mechanical contractor work and operations.
• Perform power distribution, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC start up operations.
• Assist with start-up tests.
• Establish and employ Power plant and Mechanical plant Rounds, Readings, and Log Functions.
• Perform maintenance on air handling units and chilled water distribution systems.
• Document and report all problems.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience/Education/Technical Training:
Candidates must have 3-5 years experience with the following:
• Static Switch Gear Operation / Evaporative Cooling Towers and Dry Coolers / UPS Systems / Diesel Generator operation - 750-3000 kW / DC Power distribution / Pre-action Fire systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows / Outlook / Word / Excel and a BMS system such as Automated Logic Controls or Alerton.
• Ability to read and analyze Electrical and Mechanical.
• Ability to perform all of the standard high-rise building / data center engineering tasks.
• Working knowledge of computer controlled HVAC & Power systems - Automated Logic Controls.
• All around mechanic and a heavy Electrical and Mechanical background.
• Experience w/ Data Center operations working with generators, UPS systems, PDUs, chillers, air handlers, and fire alarm systems is a plus.
• Must have excellent customer service skills, and be willing to have a flexible schedule
Skills/Competencies:
• Experience with mechanical/electrical/plumbing installation projects
• Construction Management and principles
• Strong problem solving capabilities
• Ability to manage outside vendors
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills. Good planning and organizational skills a must and must be able to motivate and work well in a team environment.
• Must have the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
