Our client, world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally, is now requiring 8 Planning/Engineering Technicians to help their development in Macau.
Job Responsibilities
- Report to the manager of Planning and Design
- Helps P/E Engineer to get customer requirements and forecasts input for defining the resources, services and service types to be provided on the network
- Assist the P/E Engineer to ensure the existing network quality from a life-cycle perspective to keep it up to date with changed business volumes, business requirements and current operational environment requirements etc
- Gathers actual figures on current network capacity, utilization and trends so as to assist the P/E Engineer to execute service and network capacity planning
- Approve simple service and resource solutions
- Produce detailed service and resource design instructions for handing over to the deployment and integration project
- assist P/E Engineer to interact with vendors to evaluate the new solutions
- Produce user acceptance document with input from vendors, 1st&2nd level operations and customer service department
- Keep track and document the service and network configuration as well as the life cycle management info
Job Requirements
- Macau ID Holder
- Higher Diploma in Information Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in telecommunication industry or equivalent experience
- General understanding of VAS, Mobile and Fix Traffic cases. For complimentary products, broad knowledge of Unix operating system is essential
- Telecommunications knowledge e.g. telephony switching principles, traffic concepts, telecommunication networks, signaling and product functional demands
- Basic GSM/WCDMA capacity planning knowledge
- Effective skills in oral and written communication
- Customer oriented
